These saws have cemented carbide tips, an exceptionally strong material that will endure intense heat and provide a beautifully smooth finish. This makes them ideal for fast, high-quantity production of tough metals that even bi-metal blades cannot cut.

There are three major types of carbide-tipped saws.
The cut-off saws are portable tools that offer a safer alternative to acetylene torches, these have a low cost per cut and are portable.
Chop saws are lightweight circular saws attached to a pivot arm and supported by a metal base.
Contractor saws are heavy-duty table saws used for cutting thick pieces of wood in a workshop.
