Sawing can be broken down into four different types. Hack sawing employs a long blade that is used in a back and forth manner across the material. A circular saw, is a rounded saw with teeth all along its edges. A band saw is a long and flexible saw that is connected together in a large band. Last, friction saws which employs a saw that is used in a way to conduct a lot of heat. This causes the material to soften.
There are many similarities between the four different types. They are all typically used to separate material into at least two pieces. They share similar terminology and they also have similar operational process, including how material is fed into the machines.
